Every project starts with a conversation. Every board is different, so every piece is made from scratch — from choosing the wood, through the concept, to the last pass of sandpaper. It takes time. That's the point.

Process · from e-mail to collection

Four steps

The process is simple. The wood is the hard part — and that's on me.

  1. Step 1 · day 1

    Write

    Purpose, size, place, mood. A photo of the room and some inspiration if you have them. The more I know, the better the concept.

  2. Step 2 · conversation

    We agree

    • form and concept
    • wood species, finish
    • timeline
    • price, in writing
    Deposit for larger commissions
  3. Step 3 · workshop

    I make it

    I send progress photos — you see the board turn into furniture. If the wood reveals something unexpected, you'll be the first to know.

    2–16 weeks, depending on the line
  4. Step 4 · handover

    You collect

    In person in Gabryelin or shipped — we arrange it case by case. The piece comes numbered, signed and with an origin document.

The price comes from the board, not from a catalogue. So much wood, so many hours, so much history. Below are the ranges — you get the exact figure in writing after we talk.

Yggdrasil

The world tree. Axis of the home.

Tables, shelving, beds, built-ins. Every piece designed for a specific home and a specific pair of hands. 4–5 commissions per year. No exceptions.

Are we a good fit

We're a fit if

  • you're after a one-off piece, not a catalogue product
  • a knot or a crack is character to you, not a defect
  • you want furniture with a story, not just a function
  • you can give the wood the time it needs

We're not a fit if

  • you needed it yesterday
  • the lowest price matters most
  • it's a copy of something from Pinterest or a shop

If your project isn't for me, I'll say so straight — and point you to someone better.

Material
Solid wood only. Oak, ash, walnut, fruitwoods. No boards.
Form
The grain dictates the shape. I don't hide knots or cracks.
Finish
Oil and wax. No lacquer covering the wood.
Durability
Heavy. You can jump on them. They'll outlast the grandchildren.
